Rescuers search for survivors as Indonesian quake death toll rises to 40

Rescuers in Indonesia are searching for survivors following an earthquake that has left the death toll rising to 40.

In addition to the primary event, a second strong quake was recorded thousands of kilometres away on Sumatra island in the western part of the archipelago. Authorities reported no initial damages or casualties from the secondary tremor.
