Calls to a funeral home, cell phones belonging to the students, and a child: this is how the new lines of investigation in the Ayotzinapa case emerged.

On Tuesday, Félix Arturo Medina Padilla, Subsecretario de Derechos Humanos, Población y Migración de la Secretaría de Gobernación (Segob), revealed new lines of investigation regarding the Ayotzinapa normalistas case. These emerging leads involve calls to a funeral home, the missing students' cell phones, and a child.

Following the presentation of this new report, President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo stated that the government is not ruling out any lines of investigation based on the findings. She also noted that bone remains discovered during the new investigation have not tested positive for the missing normalistas.
