Restrictions on the use of cell phones in schools

Educational institutions in the Dominican Republic are currently addressing the upcoming deadline established by the Ministry of Education (Minerd) regarding the regulation of mobile devices. With two weeks remaining before the official deadline expires, private schools have already begun implementing restrictive measures concerning cell phone use among students.

At the same time, public schools are reportedly consulting on the matter as they prepare to incorporate the required institutional protocols. The Ministry's mandate requires educational centers to establish clear guidelines for mobile device usage within their facilities.
