Robbyn Goode turns up the volume amid Fambo rumours

Rising female dancehall artiste Robbyn Goode has been caught in dancehall’s rumour mill—but the fast-rising singer would rather turn up the microphone than turn down the gossip. The emerging artiste has become a regular fixture on entertainment blogs and Instagram pages, largely because of her close friendship with dancehall veteran Future Fambo. A stream of cosy photographs has kept tongues wagging, but none caused quite as much commotion as one cheekily captioned, “Beauty and the Beast”.

The post sent social media sleuths into overdrive, with fans wondering whether romance was brewing behind the scenes. Goode and Fambo have since been photographed together at events and restaurants across the Corporate Area, adding further fuel to the fire. Goode, however, is standing firmly by one account.

“We’re just friends,” she insisted. “I have been hanging out with Fambo for months now. We’re really good friends, but I see a lot of hate and speculation online since he has taken over TikTok,” she said.

Her latest single, Mic Check, is beginning to generate chatter of its own, and the singer is eager to discover whether its early buzz can survive the most unforgiving test in Jamaican music: a live audience. “I haven’t officially performed it yet, so I’m looking forward to seeing the response at a live performance,” she said.

The song, remarkably, almost never made it out of the studio. Goode had written an entirely different track for the rhythm and arrived ready to record it. Producer Blue, however, was not convinced.
