Roberto Álvarez resigns from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Abinader appoints Ito

On Sunday afternoon, the Presidency of the Dominican Republic announced a series of government changes, including the resignation of Roberto Álvarez as Minister of Foreign Affairs (Mirex). President Luis Abinader accepted Álvarez's resignation and subsequently appointed Víctor "Ito" Bisonó to lead the ministry.

Simultaneously, the administration saw other high-level departures. Milton Morrison also resigned from his post as director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (Intrant), placing him among the officials who left their positions within the administration on Sunday.
