DJI updates its robot vacuums with a robotic arm that cleans under furniture and a local data mode

DJI has released a second-generation update to its ROMO robot vacuum and mop series, introducing hardware and software enhancements designed to improve cleaning reach and data privacy. The upgraded devices feature an ultra-wide swinging robotic arm engineered to clean underneath furniture more effectively.

In addition to the physical hardware changes, the updated vacuum series incorporates a local data mode. This privacy-focused feature is designed to prevent external data exposure by keeping user information stored locally on the device rather than in the cloud.
