Robots that participated in the Beijing Games now have to work

The World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing have entered their second edition with a new operational focus, requiring participating machines to demonstrate practical work capabilities rather than just athletic or recreational skills like running, jumping, or playing soccer.

To reflect this shift toward utilitarian functions, the international tournament has significantly expanded its competition environment. The number of task-inspired scenarios has grown from six in the previous edition to twenty this year.
