Romanian president announces failure of Wage Law mediation, announces renewed attempt

Romanian President Nicușor Dan announced on August 26 that mediation efforts regarding the public sector Wage Law have temporarily failed. The president had been facilitating discussions between the PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR political parties since May in an attempt to reach a legislative consensus.
