Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received an honorary doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome on Friday, October 23, 2026. The distinction was conferred by the Roman institution in recognition of his ecclesiastical standing.
