Rosario: 11 years in prison for a member of a drug gang who killed a musician in front of Newell's stadium

Daniel Mateo Bommer, a 25-year-old member of a drug trafficking organization in Rosario, Argentina, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison. He was convicted as a secondary participant in the February 1, 2023, fatal shooting of musician Lorenzo “Jimi” Altamirano, which occurred in front of the Newell’s Old Boys stadium.

In separate international coverage, a 16-year-old adolescent in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 10 years of extended supervision for the June 2025 shooting death of his 30-year-old sister, Ashley Hudson.
