Rototom opens reggae to Generation Z with new rhythms and more social activism

The 31st edition of the Rototom Sunsplash international festival is scheduled to take place in Benicàssim, Castellón, from August 16 to 22. The event aims to expand its audience reach by engaging Generation Z through the integration of contemporary musical genres, including dancehall, electronic music, and hip hop, alongside its traditional reggae offerings.

Beyond the musical programming, the festival is placing a heightened emphasis on social activism. This strategic shift in content and style is intended to modernize the festival's appeal while maintaining its core identity as a global reggae event.
