Russian intelligence chief Sergei Narishkin confirmed a meeting in Moscow with CIA Director John Ratcliffe to discuss matters related to their respective intelligence fields. Russian authorities characterized the meeting as routine, stating there is nothing unusual about such high-level intelligence exchanges.

During the visit, Russian officials also addressed ongoing geopolitical speculation by explicitly denying that the country has any plans to launch an attack against NATO. The visit, which was described as a surprise, served as a platform for Moscow to clarify its regional intentions while maintaining diplomatic channels with U.S. intelligence leadership.
