Russia wraps up first wartime parliamentary election with Kremlin dominance all but assured

Russia has concluded its first wartime parliamentary election, with the contest expected to solidify the Kremlin's dominance and operating virtually devoid of opposition to President Vladimir Putin's policies.

Notably, the voting process included residents from four Ukrainian regions that Moscow illegally annexed following the onset of the war, despite Russia not exercising full control over those territories. The final day of the election also coincided with Ukrainian forces firing more than one thousand drones.
