Russian and Ukrainian drone strikes kill at least 5 in each country

At least five people were killed in Russia and five in Ukraine following a series of reciprocal drone and aerial strikes. Ukrainian drone attacks targeted the region surrounding Moscow, while Russian aerial strikes resulted in civilian casualties within Ukrainian territory.

The conflict continues to result in steady civilian losses. According to United Nations data, ongoing Russian aerial campaigns against Ukraine have resulted in more than 16,000 civilian deaths since the start of the conflict, with casualty figures continuing to rise.
