Russian drive on Donetsk region puts Kyiv’s new commanders to the test

Russian military forces have launched a renewed drive on the Donetsk region in Ukraine, presenting an immediate operational test for Kyiv's newly appointed military leadership.

Following recent structural reforms, Ukraine's top general, Mykhailo Drapatyi, has placed respected and proven military officers in charge of these defensive operations.
