Russian missile attacks on Kyiv kill at least nine and injure dozens

Russian missile attacks targeted Kyiv, resulting in at least nine deaths and dozens of injuries. The assault involved a barrage of 27 ballistic missiles launched against the Ukrainian capital.

Ukrainian forces were able to intercept only one of the incoming missiles. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that the low interception rate is a direct consequence of a critical shortage of interceptor munitions for the country's US-supplied Patriot air defense systems.
