Russian planes fire a salvo of glide bombs at a southern Ukraine city, killing 1 and wounding dozens

Russian aircraft launched eight glide bombs at residential areas in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia over a 90-minute period on Monday. The attack resulted in one death and dozens of injuries, according to regional official Ivan Fedorov.

In response to the ongoing aerial bombardment, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a renewed appeal on Sunday for international partners to provide additional U.S.-made Patriot air defense systems to bolster the nation's protective capabilities.
