SAGICOR Investments Jamaica is reinforcing its dominance in the country’s collective investment market, with assets under management standing at $118.5 billion at the end of June, reflecting continued investor confidence in the company’s long-term investment strategy and wealth management offerings. The figure, which excludes approximately $33 billion in interfund investments, underscores Sagicor’s position as Jamaica’s largest collective investment scheme (CIS) manager. “Our leadership in Jamaica’s unit trust [CIS] market is the result of decades of earning our clients’ trust through consistent performance, disciplined investment management, and an unwavering focus on helping Jamaicans build long-term wealth,” Sagicor Jamaica Group President and CEO Christopher Zacca said.

“We are proud of that position and of the responsibility it represents. Every day we remain committed to delivering value and investment solutions that help our clients achieve their financial goals,” he added, noting that the reported $118.5 billion excludes inter-fund investments, which occur when one fund invests in another. The growth comes as Sagicor continues to invest heavily in digital technology to make investing more accessible and efficient for clients.

Earlier this year, the Jamaica Observer reported that Sagicor Investments completed a major enhancement to its digital platform, giving clients the ability to buy and sell shares listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) directly through the Sagicor Bank e-bank platform. The upgrade, which was rolled out to clients in December 2025, expands on existing digital services and now allows customers to fund repurchase agreements (repos) and equity purchases directly from their bank accounts. “We’ve been moving at full speed, working closely with our teams to deliver a smarter, faster and more connected digital experience for our clients,” the company said in an e-mail to the Observer.

“Recent upgrades to the Sagicor e-bank platform now allow clients to trade equities, purchase repos and access richer portfolio insights all in one place, while upcoming enhancements across Sagicor Bank and Sagicor Investments will unlock even more transaction options and seamless self-service,” the company added. Sagicor Investments was among the first five brokerage firms to join the JSE’s JTraderPro platform when it launched in May 2015.
