Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced on September 14 that he expects the situation in the autonomous city of Ceuta to be stabilized by the end of the year. The statement comes as the government addresses ongoing challenges regarding the region's stability.

In addition to his outlook for Ceuta, Sánchez addressed recent controversy regarding communications from the National Intelligence Center (CNI). He rejected claims that messages sent by the CNI to the chief of staff of the government delegate in Ceuta constituted an official security alert.
