Ayuso vs. Sánchez: Madrid snubs the Treasury and calls for a boycott of the regional financing reform

The Community of Madrid has announced it will boycott the upcoming Council of Fiscal and Financial Policy (CPFF) meeting, marking a significant escalation in the conflict between the regional government led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso and the national administration of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez regarding autonomous financing reform. The regional executive confirmed it will not attend the Friday session, signaling a new phase in the ongoing dispute over fiscal policy and regional funding distribution.

Separately, Prime Minister Sánchez addressed the Spanish Congress regarding the migration crisis in Ceuta. He stated that while the government remains vigilant, there is currently no evidence linking the Moroccan government to the mass entry of migrants that occurred on May 30.
