Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez defended the necessity of implementing strict regulations on Artificial Intelligence during a statement in Madrid on September 21.

Sánchez argued that strict oversight is essential to prevent the technology from falling exclusively into the hands of major technology companies and what he termed "techno-oligarchs."
