Santa Monica's last intact shotgun house survived demolition and multiple moves

Santa Monica's last intact shotgun house, originally constructed in 1897, has survived threats of demolition and multiple relocations throughout its history. Community efforts and preservation groups successfully intervened to save the historic structure from disappearing entirely.

After being moved multiple times over the years, the building found its permanent location in 2014. Following its final move, the structure underwent a restoration and repurposing process to ensure its preservation.
