Thai astronomer Saran Poshyachinda, founder of the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand, has observed 15 total solar eclipses throughout his career. He describes the solar eclipse as the most magnificent natural phenomenon that can be witnessed with the naked eye.

For his most recent observation, Poshyachinda traveled to Spain to view the August 12 solar eclipse from the Yebes Observatory located in Guadalajara.
