Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan sign joint defense deal in shadow of Iran war

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan have signed a joint defense agreement stipulating that an armed attack against any of the three nations will be considered an attack against all of them. The pact brings together a NATO member, a nuclear-armed state, and the host nation of major Muslim holy sites.

While the three Sunni nations stated that the agreement is not directed at any specific country, the deal has emerged in the shadow of the Iran war, with all three signatories reportedly wary of Iran and Israel.
