SC junks anti-HPV vax PIL, says plea has ulterior motive

The Supreme Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) that challenged the administration of the anti-human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The court rejected the petition after concluding that the plea carried an ulterior motive.

The PIL sought to halt the vaccine rollout, which is aimed at preventing cervical cancer. By junking the petition, the court cleared the path for the continuation of the vaccination efforts without judicial interference.
