Scammers posing as bank employees accused of stealing $1.5 million in jewels, precious metals

TREASURE ISLAND, FL — A pair of alleged scammers is accused of stealing $1.5 million in jewels and precious metals as part of an elaborate scheme. According to the Treasure Island Police Department, the investigation began in February after a resident reported the items being stolen.
