NewzMANCHESTER, Jamaica — A school bus driver narrowly escaped serious injuries after the unit he was driving reportedly developed mechanical issues and subsequently burst into flames destroying the unit in south Manchester on Wednesday. Firefighters received a call of the bus fire at 1:38 pm and responded to the south Manchester community of Restore. Firefighters carried out cooling down operations and extinguished the blaze.
The bus driver was reportedly the sole occupant of the unit at the time of the incident. The circumstances surrounding the fire are under investigation.
