Scientists studying cockroach milk and nose-blowing win Ig Nobel prizes for quirky science

Ten research teams were honored on Thursday at a satirical science awards ceremony celebrating quirky scientific achievements. The awards, known as the Ig Nobel prizes, recognized unusual studies including research into cockroach milk and nose-blowing.

For the first time in the event's history, the ceremony was hosted outside of the United States. This relocation was implemented due to travel concerns.
