Scurvy listed as most likely factor in 6yo Qld boy's death

The Queensland coroner has determined that a severe vitamin C deficiency, resulting in scurvy, was the most likely factor in the death of a six-year-old boy in 2024.

The child suffered a cardiac arrest prior to his death, prompting an investigation into his medical state and nutritional health by the coroner's office.
