Another suspect in the death of a community member from Los Alcarrizos turns himself in

On Friday, another suspect surrendered to authorities in connection with the fatal shooting of community leader and Dominicanos por el Cambio (DXC) party member José Frank Valerio.

The incident took place in the Hato Nuevo sector of the municipality of Los Alcarrizos. The individual who turned himself in to the authorities has been identified as José Enrique Corniel Jerez.

The case centers on the violent death of the local political and community figure, prompting an ongoing police investigation and subsequent surrenders of involved parties.
