A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded

The Servicio Sismológico Nacional (SSN) reported two separate seismic events in southern Mexico between August 30 and August 31. The first tremor, recorded at 23:31 on August 30, reached a magnitude of 4.1 and was centered 93 km southeast of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, at a depth of 16.3 km. The second event, a magnitude 4.0 earthquake, occurred at 02:26 on August 31, located 62 km southwest of Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, at a depth of 10.0 km.

These preliminary reports provide data on the location, timing, and depth of the movements. Both events were documented by national seismic authorities as part of routine monitoring of tectonic activity in the region.
