Sismo de magnitud 4.2 con epicentro en a Chala, Arequipa

On Wednesday, August 26, the National Seismological Center (Censis) of the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) recorded two distinct seismic events in different regions of the country. A magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred with an epicenter in Chala, located in the Caravelí province of Arequipa. Simultaneously, a separate magnitude 4.4 earthquake was registered in Pimentel, situated in the Chiclayo province of Lambayeque.

These seismic activities were documented by the National Seismic Network as part of routine monitoring operations. No further details regarding damages or injuries were provided in the reports.
