Senate confirms Hurst as Pentagon comptroller

On Friday, the U.S. Senate confirmed Jules “Jay” Hurst III as the Pentagon's comptroller in a party-line vote. The confirmation fills a crucial leadership vacancy at the Department of Defense.

Prior to this vote, the Pentagon had operated without a permanently confirmed comptroller for approximately a year and a half.
