NewzA 17-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after reports of a shooting that authorities say occurred near Miami Jackson Senior High School overnight Saturday. Miami Fire Rescue said crews were dispatched at about 1:52 a.m. to the 3700 block of Northwest 23rd Court for a report of a person with an “alleged gunshot wound.” They said the boy was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in “extremely critical condition.”Authorities said a 45-year-old woman was also transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Miami Fire Rescue said she had no reported injuries.Police closed Northwest 23rd Court near 38th Street as officers and detectives investigated. Several Miami police cruisers could be seen at the scene with emergency lights flashing, while police tape surrounded a home investigator appeared to be focusing on.Crime scene investigators were also seen entering and leaving the area with equipment. A clear evidence bag containing what appeared to be a gun was also visible at the scene.Neighbors told Local 10 News they heard multiple gunshots followed by yelling and the sound of people running through the area.One neighbor said he heard about seven gunshots.

and extinguished the flames before they could extend into the interior of the home. Police said Amiyah Brennan was last seen at about 10:30 p.m.
Wednesday near Northwest 211th Street and 32nd Avenue, police said. They said she was traveling on foot at the time.Investigators said Amiyah is 5 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs around 125 pounds. She has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a peach tank top, black pajama pants with pink print and possibly carrying a red backpack.
