Seven ancient Parthian tombs unearthed in Iraq’s Kurdistan region amid survey of 6,500 sites

Archaeologists in Iraq's Kurdistan region have unearthed seven ancient Parthian tombs during a comprehensive survey encompassing 6,500 archaeological sites.

According to Muhammad Lashkri, director of antiquities and heritage affairs in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, one of the newly discovered burial sites contained a clay coffin holding a small, headless figurine representing a pregnant woman.
