Shelters warn against poor treatment of warehouse guard dogs in New Territories

Animal welfare shelters in the New Territories have issued warnings regarding the poor treatment of warehouse guard dogs. According to rescuers, mistreating these dogs prior to abandoning them in unfamiliar environments increases the likelihood that the animals will become easily agitated.

In response to these concerns regarding the handling of stray and guard dogs, rescuers have proposed several solutions. Among the primary recommendations is the adoption of a "trap, neuter and release" approach to better manage the population and welfare of these animals.
