Despite this daily rise, the volume of traffic remains below the 10-day moving average of approximately 17 vessels. The reported transit numbers account for vessels with active transponders. Industry analysts note that these figures may not represent the total volume of shipping, as vessels navigating the strait with transponders turned off to avoid detection are excluded from the current count.
