In the early hours of Wednesday in the La Paternal neighborhood, approximately 50 employees and activists from the Truckers Union blockaded WebPack, a logistics company that provides services for Mercado Libre. The protest and threats were triggered by the dismissal of personnel, with union participants warning that any delivery vans attempting to leave the facility would be set on fire.

Simultaneously, regional logistics developments saw the General Directorate of Customs in the Dominican Republic announce plans to tighten customs controls on cargo moving toward the Haitian border.
