The athletics track at Parque Chacabuco has been closed for construction: it will have a synthetic surface and international certification.

The Buenos Aires City Sports Secretariat initiated a comprehensive renovation of the Parque Chacabuco athletics track on Monday, August 31. The project involves replacing the existing surface with a new synthetic carpet, aiming to achieve international certification for the facility.

As one of the most frequented free sports venues in the city, the track is currently closed to the public to facilitate these infrastructure improvements. The initiative is part of a broader effort to upgrade municipal athletic facilities.
