Singapore air quality enters unhealthy range in central region; 24-hour PSI breaches 100

Singapore's 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reached an unhealthy level in the central region, recording a reading of 101 at 7 a.m. on Friday, September 4. This measurement marks the first time the index has crossed into the unhealthy range during this period.

Air quality readings in other parts of the island remained within the moderate range as of the same time. The west recorded a PSI of 87, the east 86, the north 76, and the south 74.
