Singapore film festival rejects South Korean party’s calls to drop The Assassin(s)

The Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) has rejected demands from South Korea's conservative opposition People Power Party (PPP) to withdraw the South Korean political thriller The Assassin(s).

Despite the PPP's calls to drop the film as the festival's opening feature due to allegations regarding its historical content, festival organizers are standing by their decision to proceed with the screening.
