Oaxaca registers a 4.2 magnitude earthquake in Salina Cruz

On September 19, the Servicio Sismológico Nacional (SSN) reported a 4.2 magnitude earthquake in the municipality of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca. The preliminary official data indicates that the seismic event took place at 01:14 hours, occurring 43 kilometers south of the city.

In addition to the event in Oaxaca, the SSN reported separate seismic activity in other regions of Mexico during the early hours of the same day. These included a 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Acapulco, Guerrero, at 00:12 hours, and another 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Cd Hidalgo, Chiapas, at 00:21 hours.
