Chiapas registers a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in Tonalá

On September 3, the Servicio Sismológico Nacional reported two separate seismic events in Mexico. A 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at 03:09 hours near Tonalá, Chiapas, with an epicenter 33 km to the northeast and a depth of 137.8 km. Earlier that same day, at 03:01 hours, a 4.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded 57 km south of Jáltipan de Morelos, Veracruz.
