Slain Bara toddler’s parents reject deal, refuse to claim her body

The parents of a slain toddler in Bara have rejected a five-point agreement signed by local authorities and political figures following the child's rape and murder, refusing to claim her body. The agreement was reached without the victim's parents present at the negotiating table.

In response to the exclusion of the family and the terms of the deal, protests have continued along the Birgunj-Pathlaiya road.
