Small AI models let drones autonomously identify and attack battlefield targets

A NATO-backed startup, Scaleout Systems, is developing small-scale artificial intelligence models designed to enable drones to autonomously identify and select battlefield targets. This technology is intended to operate directly on compact drone hardware, facilitating both surveillance and offensive missions for European militaries.
