‘Socialism does not fly’: Nixon victory forces South Florida Dems to address ideological divide

Following the primary results, Florida Democratic Party leaders held a news conference in Little Havana to emphasize their goal of flipping seats in November. During the event, Party Chair Nikki Fried asserted that 'socialism does not fly' and highlighted recent Democratic-aligned successes in school board races, including in deep-red Sarasota County.
