Ground power gas turbines are in short supply with some backlogs extending for five years.
According to a study by the Citizens Utility Board of Ohio, coal cost Ohio ratepayers $786 million in 2024 alone in excessive charges from two coal plants, a leftover of corrupt House Bill 6. On the other hand, Aurora Energy Research found that adding 10 gigawatts of solar and wind energy by 2028 would save us $10.9 billion on our bills over the following decade.
