Spain Records More Than 5,000 Heat-Related Deaths

Between June 1 and August 31, Spain recorded more than 5,000 deaths linked to extreme heat. Data provided by the Carlos III Health Institute indicates that August saw the highest impact with 2,149 fatalities, followed by 2,025 in July.
