Springfield Public Schools are set to remain closed on Tuesday following the Labor Day holiday due to a “cyber incident,” Superintendent Sonia Dinnall announced Monday.

The incident has “interrupted the service of some systems necessary for essential school operations,” Dinnall said in a statement. The closure will allow district officials to continue addressing the urgent issue, she said.
