Sri Lanka Easter bombings: 15 sentenced to hundreds of years in prison each over deadly terror attacks

A court in Sri Lanka has convicted and sentenced 15 men in connection with the 2019 Easter Sunday terrorist attacks. Each of the defendants received prison sentences of at least 200 years.

The coordinated attacks, which targeted churches and hotels, were inspired by the Islamic State. The 2019 bombings resulted in 267 fatalities, marking one of the worst terrorist atrocities in the country's history.
